How to Register a Domain Name and Host it!

Hello World,

So You want to get into the internet and not sure what you want to do. The very first thing you must do is to register a domain name and then find a place to host the domain name.  I am going to provide for free a simple inexpensive way to get your domain up and running in a short period of time, and will cost less than $20.00 to get started.

The First thing you need to do is register a domain name. A domain name is a your address on the internet. You want to come up with a domain name which is easily remembered, on topic, easy to spell, keyword oriented and as short as possible.  For instance, some of the early mistakes I made was to register  the domain name http://www.Internet-Based-Network-Marketing.com. Although this domain address is keywork rich, it is way too long and way too spammy. In other words it tells someone I am going after keywords, it is too difficult to type the whole thing, and so on.  My next best try was http://www.killermlmprofits.com. This is easy to remember, has a little pizaz to it,  gets the point accross as to what  I am trying to accomplish (on topic) and is short enough that it is easy to type in.

So think of a good relevant domain name that fits these criteria.  Now we need to see if this domain name is already registered. Don’t be surprised if it is already!  My recommendation for a place to register your domain name is at http://www.budlongrecommends.com/1and1 . I like this company because right now they are only charging $6.99 per year to register a domain name and they do not try to sell you more than you need when registering. Watch the video below to see how to use this system.

Now that you have your domain name…

For hosting I recommend http://www.BudlongRecommends.com/hostgator . Again this company is fairly priced, reliable, has excellent support and is easy to use on the back side.  Please watch the video here to learn more about how to set up your domain hosting account.

In our next video I will show you how to point your domain to your hosting company.

Now go and make it a great day.  Below are easy to find clicks for the services I recommended in the post today;
